Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional food service experience and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for managing a dedicated section, ensuring order accuracy, and coordinating with kitchen staff to provide seamless service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests, present menus, and manage seating flow to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Accurately record food and drink orders using Point of Sale (POS) systems and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
- Deliver meals and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation.
- Clean and reset tables, maintain organized service stations, and perform side-work like polishing silverware.
- Present bills, process cash or card payments accurately.
- Inform guests of daily specials and recommend pairings to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue.
- Monitor guest satisfaction through regular check-ins and professionally resolve any complaints or special requests.
Job Specification
- Minimum of 1 year of proven work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate billing.
- Strong verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to remain calm and professional under high pressure.
- understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and dietary/allergy awareness.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
