About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Full-Time Faculty member in Pharmacy to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pharmaceutical education, committed to student success, and actively engaged in research and professional development. This is a full-time, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity to shape the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, practicals, and tutorials in Pharmaceutical Analysis and/or Industrial Pharmacy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- - Develop and update curriculum, course materials, lesson plans, and assessments in accordance with university and regulatory guidelines
- - Conduct and supervise student research projects, dissertations, and thesis work
- - Participate actively in departmental academic activities including seminars, workshops, and faculty meetings
- - Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional growth
- - Contribute to applied or fundamental research in the field of pharmacy; publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- - Assist in laboratory management, ensuring compliance with safety standards and institutional protocols
- - Collaborate with industry and external stakeholders for curriculum enhancement and placement opportunities
- - Participate in accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional review processes
- - Perform additional academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Department Head or Dean
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- M.Pharm. in Industrial Pharmacy OR M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Analysis from a recognized university (mandatory)
- - Ph.D. in Pharmacy or a related discipline is an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or industry experience in the relevant field of pharmacy
- - Prior academic or research experience at the collegiate level is preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong command of pharmaceutical sciences, with specialization in Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Analysis
- - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- - Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
- - Proficiency in research methodologies and scientific writing
- - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GMP, GLP, pharmacopoeial standards) is an advantage
- - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment
