Role Description As a Senior Video Editor at Ecstatic Minds, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end post-production process for a wide range of client projects, including brand films, social media content, and promotional videos. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, where you will work closely with creative directors, and designers to shape compelling visual stories that align with client objectives. Your day-to-day activities will include assembling raw footage, selecting the best takes, editing sequences, adding motion graphics, and applying color grading to ensure a polished, consistent visual style. You will collaborate on concept development, contribute creative ideas, and maintain high technical and aesthetic standards across all deliverables. The role also involves managing timelines, organizing project assets, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and mentoring junior editors to uphold quality and efficiency within the post-production team.

Qualifications

  • Strong video editing skills, including narrative building, pacing, and sound synchronization, with advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., davinci, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in video production, including understanding of shot composition, camera formats, and working with production teams to ensure footage aligns with editing requirements.
  • Proficiency in video color grading to achieve consistent, cinematic looks and correct exposure, contrast, and color balance across various types of footage.
  • Ability to create and integrate motion graphics and graphics, including titles, lower thirds, simple animations, and branded visual elements using tools such as After Effects or similar software.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead video editing role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of commercial or branded content.
  • Excellent attention to detail, storytelling skills, and a strong sense of visual and audio aesthetics.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with experience incorporating structured feedback from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant education in film production, multimedia, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working in an agency or production house
