Role Description This is a full-time, on-site GEO & SEO Specialist role based in Kathmandu. The specialist will manage day-to-day GEO and SEO activities, including conducting keyword research, performing detailed SEO and GEO audits, and optimizing on-page elements to improve rankings and visibility in both traditional search engines and generative engines. The role involves monitoring web analytics, tracking performance metrics, and preparing regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations. The specialist will execute and refine link-building strategies, collaborate with content and marketing teams to align optimization efforts with campaigns, and stay current with search engine algorithm updates and GEO best practices. The position also includes testing new GEO approaches, documenting findings, and contributing to the development of scalable optimization frameworks for clients.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Keyword Research and On-Page SEO, including metadata, internal linking, content structure, and schema markup.
- Hands-on experience conducting comprehensive SEO Audits and GEO assessments to identify technical, content, and authority issues.
- Practical knowledge of Link Building strategies, outreach methods, and ethical off-page optimization practices.
- Ability to use Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, or equivalents) to measure performance and inform strategy.
- Understanding of generative AI platforms and how content and signals influence responses and visibility is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working with basic technical concepts (e.g., HTML, site speed, mobile responsiveness, indexation) in collaboration with developers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site in Kathmandu.
- Prior experience in GEO, SEO, or digital marketing and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field are preferred but not strictly required with equivalent experience.
