  • Key Responsibilities

1.1 Strategic Leadership and Business Development

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision, business plans, and growth initiatives aligned with Brij Himalayan Spring Pvt. Ltd.’s objectives and Nepal’s FMCG/beverage market dynamics.
  • Define long-term strategic direction across production, sales, distribution, and market expansion to establish Purna Water as Nepal’s leading premium spring water brand.
  • Identify and pursue business diversification opportunities, including new product categories (packaged water variants, sizes, formats), geographic expansion, and channel.
  • Drive innovation in product development, packaging solutions, sustainability initiatives, and customer experience differentiation.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with distributors, retail chains, institutional clients, and industry stakeholders to enhance market presence and competitive positioning.

1.2 Financial Management and Profitability

  • Own overall P&L accountability, ensuring achievement of revenue targets, profitability objectives, and return on investment benchmarks set by the Board.
  • Prepare and be accountable for annual budget approval, capital expenditure plans, and financial forecasts; monitor performance against financial KPIs.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across operations, supply chain, logistics, and overhead expenses to achieve sustainable margins while maintaining quality standards.
  • Oversee working capital management, cash flow optimization, credit policies, and collection efficiency.
  • Ensure financial discipline, robust internal controls, and compliance with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS), tax regulations, and company financial policies.

1.3 Operational Excellence and Performance Management

  • Provide executive oversight for end-to-end operations, including factory production, quality assurance, supply chain, logistics, distribution, and business support functions.
  • Monitor operational KPIs (production output, uptime, quality metrics, HSE performance, logistics efficiency, inventory management) through respective functional heads.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture through lean manufacturing, process optimization, waste reduction, and automation initiatives across factory and corporate operations.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales demand planning and production capacity planning for optimal inventory and fulfillment.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives, including ERP/ODOO implementation, MIS dashboards, AI-enabled logistics, data analytics, and real-time operational visibility.
  • Establish performance management systems, KPI frameworks, and accountability mechanisms across all departments and leadership levels.

1.4 Sales, Marketing, and Brand Building

  • Set national revenue targets and growth objectives for all sales channels (general trade, modern trade, HoReCa, institutional, jar/bulk, digital/e-commerce).
  • Oversee brand positioning, marketing strategy, and communication campaigns to build Purna Water’s equity as Nepal’s trusted premium spring water brand.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty programs across B2B and B2C segments; ensure superior customer experience and service delivery.
  • Approve pricing strategies, trade promotion budgets, and distribution expansion plans to maximize market penetration and revenue generation.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, market trends, and consumer insights; adapt business strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs for brand awareness initiatives, sponsorships, CSR programs, and public relations activities.

1.5 Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Good Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including Nepal food safety laws, DFTQC guidelines, ISO/HACCP certifications, environmental regulations, labor laws, and tax obligations.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with regulatory authorities, including (but not limited to) the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, pollution control boards, municipal agencies, labor offices, and industry associations.
  • Establish a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework covering operational risks, financial risks, reputational risks, compliance risks, and strategic risks.
  • Oversee incident reporting protocols, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation across quality, safety, environmental, and operational domains.
  • Uphold Brij Himalayan Spring Pvt. Ltd.’s governance standards, ethical practices, transparency, and accountability in all business decisions and stakeholder interactions.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes; ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations and continuous strengthening of the control environment.

1.6 Stakeholder Engagement and External Relations

  • Serve as the primary representative of Brij Himalayan Spring Pvt. Ltd. to the Board of Directors, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Present quarterly business reviews, annual strategic plans, and periodic performance reports to the Board with clear recommendations on growth initiatives and investments.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, distributors, banking partners, and industry associations.
  • Lead engagement with government authorities, local bodies, community stakeholders, and civil society organizations for permits, compliance, CSR initiatives, and reputation management.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, business associations, trade events, and media interactions to enhance corporate visibility and thought leadership.
  • Manage crisis communication and public relations in consultation with designated officials.

1.7 Organizational Leadership, Talent Management, and Culture Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing senior leadership team and functional heads.
  • Establish clear accountability, decision rights, and performance expectations for direct reports through objective-setting, performance reviews, and coaching aligned with company HR processes.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, integrity, customer-centricity, and continuous learning across the organization.
  • Oversee organizational development, succession planning, talent acquisition, and leadership pipeline development through HR and Organization Development function.
  • Champion employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, and progressive workplace practices.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, capability building, training programs, and career development opportunities to support business growth and retention.

1.8 Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation

  • Drive a digital-first mindset and technology adoption across operations, sales, finance, and customer engagement platforms.
  • Approve technology investments, including ERP systems, automation solutions, digital logistics platforms, CRM tools, and data analytics infrastructure.

  • Champion environmental stewardship through water conservation, waste management, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
  • Support local community development programs, educational initiatives, and social welfare projects in consultation with Corporate Affairs.
  • Ensure ethical sourcing, fair labor practices, and responsible supply chain management throughout the value chain.
  • Position Purna Water as a purpose-driven organization contributing positively to society and the environment beyond business objectives.
