Summary

Work Cedar Gate Services is looking for AI Engineer 1. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze healthcare data, identify patterns, and develop predictive models to support decision-making in the US healthcare domain. The candidate should be proficient in exploratory data analysis, predictive modeling, and writing well-structured, testable, and efficient code. Additionally, the role requires hands-on experience with large language models, including prompt engineering and agentic workflow development. Experience in fine-tuning foundation models (e.g., Mistral, LLaMA 2) is considered an advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze, solve business problems, and provide insights through machine learning and data mining
• Understand machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and computational complexity
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and build predictive models in the US healthcare domain to generate insights and support forecasting
• Evaluate machine learning models using industry-standard metric
• Identify, design, and implement Generative AI use cases leveraging RAG-based agents and end-to-end agentic workflows
• Identify and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) to enable automation or partial automation of internal tools and processes
• Produce technical design documents and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation
• Write industry-standard code in Python and perform code review
• Perform unit tests and debug/fix software defect
  
  

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related (or equivalent) field, Master’s Degree would be a plus
• 1+ year of relevant experience in machine learning, Agentic AI or data science
• Strong programming experience using Python and familiarity with production-quality development practices
• Familiarity with popular machine learning algorithms and their usage such as Linear/Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, SVM, K-Nearest Neighbors, XGBoost, Clustering, Deep Learning (Neural Networks), Naive Bayes etc
• Strong knowledge of feature engineering techniques such as missing data imputation, discretization, outlier handling, feature scaling etc
• Knowledge of large-scale distributed data processing using Apache Spark, Hadoop and related technologies
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AWS Bedrock Agents, or similar technologies)
• Experience with LLM prompt engineering, RAG systems, and agentic workflows is preferred
