About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven Investment Analyst to support fundraising and deployment initiatives from investors (global + local). The role requires strong analytical capabilities, report writing, financial modeling skills, and the ability to create compelling investor materials. This position will play a critical role in developing pitch decks, business proposals documents, financial models, investment proposals, and due diligence reports to support capital raising and strategic finance decision-making.
In the earlier stage (Phase I), the role will primarily focus on research and analytics, and further (Phase II) he/she will be involved in the fund management and investment process, upon the materialization. Alongside, the candidate will gain exposure to working with startups in an emerging sector such as clean energy, carbon markets, AI, and others. They will receive strong mentorship while collaborating closely with dynamic team of young and experienced professionals
Key Responsibilities for Phase I: For the initial period, he/she will be handling the below responsibilities.
1. Fundraising & Investor Materials
• Develop high-quality pitch decks, teasers, and investor presentations
• Prepare investment proposals, factsheet, IMs (Information Memorandums), and other business documentation.
• Tailor materials for FDIs and private equity investors
2. Market Research & Analysis
• Perform industry research, market sizing, and competitive benchmarking
• Analyze macroeconomic trends relevant to Nepal and target sectors
• Prepare insightful research reports for investors
3. Data handling and reporting
• Maintain data related to FDIs, Industry, Macroeconomy, Financials etc.
• Basic data visualization in any tool and perform analysis through it.
Key Responsibilities for Phase II: After the materialization, he/she will be working in various investment process (from deal sourcing to execution process to post investment works)
1. Financial Modeling & Valuation
• Build and maintain robust financial and pricing models (3-statement, scenario analysis, unit economics model etc.)
• Conduct company performance analysis and return analysis (IRR, NPV, sensitivity)
• Support deal structuring and capital planning
2. Due Diligence Support
• Assist in financial, commercial, and operational due diligence
• Analyze financial statements and identify key risks
• Prepare data rooms and documentation for investors
Key Skills: Report writing, Documentation, Pitch Decks, Financial Model, Business Research, Market Research, Documentation, Portfolio Monitoring etc.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Prior experience in private equity, credit rating, research, or consulting firms is a plus. However, candidates without this background will also be considered, provided they demonstrate strong enthusiasm and a deep willingness to learn and perform.
• Knowledge of FDIs and fund management is desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial statements analysis
• Candidates having strong passion for investment and sector development.
