Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an English Proficiency Test Instructor based in Putalisadak, Kathmandu. The instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons to prepare students for English proficiency tests, such as IELTS / PTE / TOEFL (2026 version). Responsibilities include creating tailored lesson plans, monitoring student progress, providing feedback, general counseling on study abroad, and maintaining a motivational learning environment.
Office Timings: 8 am – 4 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct IELTS, PTE, and TOEFL (2026 version) preparation classes for students.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and assessments for the classes.
- Liaising with British Council, ETS for updates, renewals, etc.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide constructive academic guidance.
- Maintain teaching quality, classroom discipline, and a positive learning environment.
- Able to do general counseling for Study Abroad.
- Stay updated with changes in IELTS/ PTE/ TOEFL exam patterns and teaching methodologies.
- Support students throughout their preparation journey, including strategy, tips and tricks, and time management guidelines.
- Design and conduct Mock tests for internal and external students in coordination with ACIE’s core team.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
- Smart, pleasing personality with very fluent English.
- Graduate degree or higher education degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching experience in IELTS/ PTE/ TOEFL preparation.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs.
- Any candidates who have completed CELTA Qualification/ British Council Teacher training, PTE teacher training certificate, or TOEFL teacher training certificate are highly preferred.
