About Connex: As a leader in IT solutions distribution globally, we are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer to be part of our pioneering team in Nepal. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of IT solutions in a growing market.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead technical pre-sales engagements for cybersecurity and network security solutions across enterprise and partner accounts.
  • Design, position, and propose solution architectures based on customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and solution discovery sessions for customers and partners.
  • Support partner enablement activities and provide technical guidance during meetings, evaluations, and opportunities.
  • Prepare high-quality technical proposals, bill of materials, scope documents, compliance matrices, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Respond to technical queries from customers, partners, internal sales teams, and vendors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate closely with the Sri Lanka team, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate solution design and smooth opportunity progression.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying opportunities, qualifying requirements, and positioning the right security technologies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, vendor offerings, and evolving cybersecurity requirements in the Nepal market.


Required Technical Expertise

Applicants must have strong practical knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity and network security technologies, including several of the following areas:

  • SIEM and SOC solutions.
  • VAPT and security assessment concepts.
  • DLP and DSPM technologies.
  • Email security solutions.
  • Application security and API security.
  • Firewall, network security, and perimeter defense technologies.
  • Security architecture, solution sizing, and technical documentation.


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in pre-sales, technical consulting, solution engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity or network security solution positioning, design, and proposal support.
  • Strong understanding of the pre-sales lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution mapping, technical presentations, and proposal development.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with customers, partners, OEMs, and internal commercial teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Commercial awareness and a good understanding of how pre-sales supports sales outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a growing business environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with distributors, system integrators, or cybersecurity vendors.
  • Familiarity with enterprise RFP/RFI processes and compliance-driven proposal submissions.
  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, networking, or vendor technologies will be an advantage.
  • Experience working with regional teams and cross-border vendor coordination is preferred.
