About the Role
Audio Bee is hiring Data Extraction Interns to build and maintain automated data collection systems. You'll work with our Python-based data infrastructure across multiple platforms: writing data collection workflows, normalizing data, and running QA checks to keep pipelines reliable.
This is an AI-first team. We use Claude Code and AI assistants daily as core development tools. Strong performers have a clear path to a full-time Data Extraction Engineer role.
Type: 4-month Internship (conversion to Full-Time)
Background: Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience
What You'll Do
- Build new data collection workflows using Python, Playwright, and HTTP APIs
- Maintain existing workflows when target websites change structure
- Debug data collection failures: failed requests, site structure changes, missing data
- Normalize raw data into standardized schemas
- Run QA checks to catch regressions, missing data, and data corruption
- Use AI-assisted development (Claude Code) as part of your daily workflow
What We're Looking For
- Background in Computer Science, software development, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how browsers work
- Ability to read network traffic in browser DevTools: inspect requests, read responses, understand HTTP headers (or strong willingness to learn)
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable communicating in English (written)
- Comfortable using or learning Claude Code as an AI coding assistant
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data extraction or browser automation (projects, coursework, or internships)
- Familiarity with Playwright, BeautifulSoup, or lxml
- Experience with Git, SQLite, Pydantic, or pytest
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. You must have availability overlap with our HQ hours: 4:45 PM to 1:15 AM Nepal Time (March–November) and 3:45 PM to 12:15 AM Nepal Time (November–March), for daily communication with the team.
This is an AI-first team. You will be expected to use Claude Code at work from day one. Candidates who are already comfortable with it will have a strong advantage.
