Job Description
We are looking for a creative and fast-moving Video Editor who can produce high-impact TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and other short-form content for DCV’s clients across Australia, India, and global markets. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media culture, understands trends, and knows how to turn raw footage into scroll-stopping content that grows brand visibility and engagement.
This role sits within our Creative Services division and will directly support clients in industries including consulting, finance, education, tech, and lifestyle brands.
Key Responsibilities
1. Short-Form Video Editing
- Edit engaging TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels.
- Create fast-paced, high-retention content using viral hooks, captions, transitions, memes, B-roll, and sound effects.
- Apply strong storytelling techniques to keep viewers engaged within the first 2–3 seconds.
2. Content Creation & Trend Adaptation
- Stay updated with TikTok and Instagram trends, viral audio, formats, and editing styles.
- Proactively propose ideas, scripts, and creative concepts for clients.
- Repurpose long-form videos (podcasts, interviews, webinars) into multiple short clips.
3. Branding & Consistency
- Integrate brand guidelines such as colour palettes, fonts, layouts, and logos.
- Ensure every piece of content reflects the client's brand identity and tone.
4. Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with DCV account managers, clients, and creative teams.
- Manage multiple client accounts and deliver videos within agreed timelines.
- Organize raw footage, maintain content libraries, and manage project revisions.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Proven experience editing TikTok/Reels/Short-Form videos.
- Strong proficiency in editing software like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
- Experience with motion graphics, captions, templates, smooth transitions, and sound syncing.
- Ability to edit with speed and precision for high-volume content.
Creative Skills
- Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, hooks, and viral content psychology.
- Ability to think visually and creatively to elevate basic footage.
- Basic graphic design skills are a plus (Canva/Photoshop).
Soft Skills
- Detail-oriented, with excellent time management.
- Proactive and self-driven with a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take feedback constructively.
- Ability to work across multiple clients and adapt to different brand voices.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in video editing (short-form content preferred).
- Experience producing content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or brands in Nepal or abroad.
- Portfolio showcasing strong video editing work is mandatory.
