Job Description
Position Overview:We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced lecturer to join our hospitality team, specializing in the Hospitality Project Management module. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in hospitality business administration with a focus on hospitality, and a passion for educating and mentoring students. This role involves delivering lectures, guiding students through project-based learning, and fostering the development of practical skills and ethical business practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Engaging Lectures: Provide high-quality instruction in Hospitality Project Management, covering key topics such as business concepts, communication, decision-support tools, capital funding, and business plan development.
- Develop Course Materials: Create and update activities, lecture materials, and assessments that align with the module learning outcomes and current industry trends.
- Student Engagement: Foster a dynamic and interactive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement through discussions, projects, and real-life case studies.
- Mentorship: Guide students in developing and executing their business plans, providing feedback, and monitoring their progress towards business goals.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluate student performance through assignments, presentations, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and integrate relevant trends and practices into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with industry professionals and stakeholders to provide students with real-world perspectives and networking opportunities.
- Education: A Master’s degree or higher in hospitality management or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in business administration, with a focus on hospitality management. Prior teaching experience at the university level is highly desirable.
