Job Description
  •  Assist M&E Officer and Regional PAHAL officers to ensure effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting of program deliverables;
  • Assist on the process of monitoring data collection, data entry, data analysis, record keeping and report writing at regional level
  •  Assist on annual monitoring, routine monitoring, resilience monitoring, and data quality assessments, along with other key evaluation and research activities;
  •  Support in conducting capacity building events of implementing and district level partner staff on M&E concepts;
  •  Assist on implementation of accountability and transparency mechanisms for the program;
  • Assist to ensure adherence to program management minimum standards in carrying out his/her duties, and supporting other staff in the same as required;
  • Ensure GESI sensitive monitoring and evaluation process (for eg: ensure disaggregated data and information is regularly collected, analyzed and updated to monitor the progress of the program implementation, by closely working with other team members including GESI;
  •  Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and not to jeopardize its humanitarian mission.

Job Specification
  • At least 2years’ experience in development field. Work experience of monitoring and evaluation is preferred. Survey experience is a plus.
  •  Good understanding and skills at data management;
  •  Strong computer skill. Knowledge of MS office applications including Nepali and English typing;
  •  Good oral and written English skills;
  • Excellent negotiation, representation, skills and the ability to work comfortably with an ethnically diverse staff in a very sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
  • Ability to work effectively with an ethnically diverse team in a sensitive environment
