Job Description
Job Summary:
The Primary Grade Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in grades one, two or three. The teacher will create an engaging and supportive learning environment, ensuring the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The role includes lesson planning, student assessment, classroom management, and collaboration with parents and school leadership.
Teaching & Curriculum Implementation:
- Develop and deliver lesson plans as per the school curriculum.
- Use engaging teaching strategies to enhance student understanding.
- Integrate technology and creative methods in the classroom.
- Ensure a balance between academics, co-curricular, and life skills education.
- Implement an integrated curriculum.
Classroom Management & Student Engagement:
- Maintain a disciplined and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage student participation and active learning.
- Address learning challenges and provide individual support as needed.
- Instill moral values, discipline, and social responsibility in students.
Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
- Conduct regular assessments and maintain student performance records.
- Provide timely feedback and work on student improvement plans.
- Prepare progress reports and discuss them with parents.
Parent Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and workshops.
- Involve parents in school activities and their child’s learning journey.
Co-curricular & Extracurricular Involvement:
- Encourage students participation in sports, arts, and extracurricular activities.
- Organize educational trips, competitions, and special events.
- Support school events, assemblies, and community programs.
Job Specification
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or relevant subject specialization.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity in lesson planning and instructional methods.
- Passion for student learning and development.
- Smart in digital literacy
