Job Description
An operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the success of the company. S/he must maintain a dynamic work environment and administer and monitor all the facilities. S/he should have strong organization and interpersonal skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Day to Day Operations
- Proactively oversee facilities services and maintenance activities for facilitating smooth operation of work.
- Regular update on production planning.
- Oversee regular production operation and maintain smooth running of production process.
- Assign tasks to subordinates and inspect work to ensure that the prescribed standards are met.
- Identify and improve all areas of operation efficiencies.
- Resolving complaints and managing process discrepancies to maintain the smooth delivery of services.
- Communicate and work with multiple departments to fulfill the various needs in the workspace.
- Oversee the production processes for all the Poshilo’s products, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing.
- Prepare and Submit daily, weekly and monthly operational report to Line Manager on time with accurate information.
Inventory
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures in coordination with the Inventory Manager.
- Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages and analyse inventory data to anticipate future needs.
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and product finalization.
- Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
- Supervise and maintain inventory levels as per the production schedule so that raw materials and finished goods are available as per requirement.
- Proper update on the Mainataince check.
Communication and Coordination
- Monitor inventory department emphasizing on the improvement of productivity and efficiency ensure the management of stock as per the monthly sales forecast and assist in critical case.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Factory’s administrative department.
- Coordinate with other departments to ease the flow of information and mitigate gaps related to factory operational issues.
Risk Analysis and Safety Protocols
- Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the company.
- Performing a risk assessment: analysing current and potential risks affecting the company
- Building risk awareness amongst employees by providing support and training within the company.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
People Management
- To delegate tasks as and when appropriate to team members to ensure the effective and efficient running of the department.
- Subject to agreed criteria, recruitment, training, set action and targets, appraise and manage performance, development, coaching and general support of all team members to ensure targets are met
- Set an example for team members of commitment, manufacturing process expertise, work ethics and habits and personal character
- The development of staff through coaching, advice, and motivational techniques to help the team to maximize the potential for revenue.
Job Specification
- At least BBA / preferred MBA Master's degree in related field.
- At Least 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably currently having the same role (OM) in a manufacturing company.
Competencies and Soft Skills
- Deep knowledge of production management
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
