Job Description
The Sr. Marketing officer is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing marketing strategies. S/he will overseemarketing initiatives, supervise associates, and ensure campaigns are aligned with company goals while coordinating closely with the Executive Operations Assistant. The ideal candidate takes initiative, is proactive, and demonstrates a strong ability to learn and adapt.
Roles and Responsibilities
Marketing
- Coordinate with Executive Operations Assistant in developing the brand as well as marketing strategies including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision, and value proposition for short as well as long term.
- Plan and executedigital marketing, update database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee campaignsacross digital and offline channels.
- Supervise MarketingAssociate(s) in executingcampaigns.
- Assist in developing and implementing the company's social media strategy and maximize profile across all activities. Maintain social media presence.
- Promote the correct and consistent use of the company’s brand both internally and externally through digital channels.
- Write, edit andproofread marketing materialfor use in differentchannels.
- Measure and report timely on the performance of all ongoing as well as completed marketing campaigns.
Content Creation and Campaign Management
- Develop, plan, and execute engaging content strategies for both digital and traditional platforms, including social media, blogs, newsletters, websites, and promotional materials.
- Stay updated on content trends, tools, and emerging platforms to continuously improve marketing impact and creativity.
Coordination
- Maintain strong communication between core teams and internal/external stakeholders.
- Liaise with vendors and partners to ensure successful execution and demonstration of campaigns.
- Collaborate with Line Manager and Executive Operations / Assistant in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
- Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Research and Development
- Undertake market researchand establish the best way to reach target groups.
- Analyse the impact of marketingcampaigns and preparemeasurement reports.
- Monitor market trends, research consumer market behaviour, and competitors’ activities.
- Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities.
- Track product distribution and consumer reactions.
Marketing Strategy & Brand Growth
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Build strong brand positioning across India and Nepal markets
- Plan and manage integrated campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital, retail activation)
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify expansion opportunities
eCommerce Management (India & Nepal)
- Oversee and manage all eCommerce platforms across both countries (own website + marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Daraz, etc.)
- Drive online sales growth through performance marketing and marketplace optimization
- Manage product listings, pricing strategy, SEO, catalog optimization, and promotional planning
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Monitor marketplace analytics, conversion rates, customer reviews, and performance KPIs
- Plan and execute marketplace campaigns (festive sales, flash deals, platform ads)
- Identify new eCommerce partnerships and expansion opportunities
Digital & Performance Marketing
- Lead paid advertising campaigns (Meta, Google, marketplace ads)
- Manage influencer collaborations and content strategy
- Optimize campaigns based on ROI, CAC, ROAS, and performance metrics
- Grow social media presence and community engagement
Trade Marketing & Sales Support
- Develop retail marketing materials and POS branding
- Support distributor promotions and trade schemes
- Align marketing initiatives with sales targets
Budget & Performance Management
- Develop and manage marketing budgets across both countries
- Track campaign ROI and online revenue growth
- Provide monthly performance reports with insights and recommendation
Team & Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor marketing team members
- Coordinate with agencies, designers, digital partners, and marketplace managers
- Ensure alignment between India and Nepal marketing operations
Job Specification
- Bachelors in business administration with major in Marketing, or related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of proven work experience in marketing roles.
- Familiarity with simple marketing tools: social media scheduling platforms, email marketing tools, Canva, Google Analytics, basic CRM systems.
- Experience leading and managing social media and digital marketing campaigns.
