Job Description

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting Deputy Director of Financein providing strategic financial guidance, managing financial planning and analysis, ensuring compliance, and driving the financial performance of our diverse portfolio of companies. You will collaborate closely with senior executives, department heads, and finance teams across the group to ensure effective financial management and support the achievement of our business objectives. The Finance Manager must have a proven track record in managing finance for multiple entities, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reports on the performance of each company within the group.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including consolidated financial statements, to senior management.
  • Monitor key financial indicators, variances, and risks to ensure proactive financial management.

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Assist Deputy Director of Financein the development and execution of financial strategies and plans aligned with the group's overall objectives.
  • Assist Chief Financial Officer to establish financial goals and performance metrics for each entity.
  • Assist Deputy Director of Financewith the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting for all companies within the group.
  • Evaluate financial viability and profitability of potential acquisitions, partnerships, or expansion initiatives.

Cash Flow Management and Treasury Operations:

  • Oversee cash flow planning, monitoring, and optimization for the group of companies.
  • Manage banking relationships, including negotiation of financing terms and investment opportunities.
  • Implement effective treasury controls, including cash management, working capital management, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and liquidity plans to support operational needs and growth initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws for all entities.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and policies across the group.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring appropriate risk management strategies are in place.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals across the group.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and capabilities.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and effective communication within the finance teams across the group.
Job Specification
  • Master's degree in business administration, Finance or related field. Professional certification, i.e.; Chartered Accountancy is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing finance for multiple entities.

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes.
  • Experience in group financial reporting, including consolidation of financial statements.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
