Job Description
The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s complete financial operations, including purchase and sales accounting, VAT and TDS compliance, payroll processing, and stock management. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, timely financial reporting, and strict adherence to government regulations. The position also involves preparing monthly financial statements, managing bank reconciliations, coordinating with internal departments, and supporting internal and external audits. The Accounts Officer will monitor receivables and payables, manage vendor relationships, plan financial schedules, and ensure smooth overall account operations to support the company’s financial stability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase & Sales Management
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase and sales transactions.
- Ensure timely billing, invoicing, and entry updates.
VAT Management
- Handle VAT calculations, record-keeping, and compliance.
TDS Management
- Ensure proper deduction, recording, and monthly reconciliation of TDS.
Payroll Management
- Prepare monthly payroll, attendance reconciliation, and salary disbursement.
Stock, Transfer & Production Management
- Maintain stock ledger, oversee stock transfer and production entries.
- Coordinate with store and production teams for accurate inventory reports.
Bank Reconciliation Management
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and ensure transaction accuracy.
Monthly Report Preparation
- Generate P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports.
Audit Documentation
- Prepare and organize all required financial documents for internal and external audits.
VAT Filing
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly VAT filing as per government norms.
Debtors & Vendor Management
- Monitor receivables and payables.
- Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments and vendor settlements.
Financial Planning
- Manage financial planning for payment schedules, bank installments, salary, rent, office expenses, and operational costs.
Overall Account Management
- Oversee all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Management (BBS/BBA or equivalent).
- Semi-qualified CA prefered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing company (mandatory).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally or Busy accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of VAT, TDS, payroll, and inventory accounting.
- Strong Skills in MS Excel.
Other Requirements:
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
- Female candidates are highly encouraged (priority).
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
