Job Description
Role Summary:
To support the finance/accounting function of the company and also manage the company’s social media presence. The role involves assisting in day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing basic financial reports, along with developing, publishing and monitoring social media content to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in recording day to day financial transactions (journal entries, petty cash, receipts, payments).
Support in invoicing, reconciliation of accounts, supplier and customer ledger maintenance.
Help in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial summaries and reports for management review.
Maintain proper filing of accounting documents (physical and digital) and assist during audits.
Manage the company’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) including content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments/messages.
Create basic social media graphics/posts, and help to track campaign / post performance metrics.
Coordinate with sales/marketing team for promotional campaigns on social media and gather analytics.
Ensure brand consistency in all social media content and maintain regular update schedule.
Any other tasks relating to accounting support or social media management as assigned by the manager.
Job Specification
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar field.
1 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance support and/or social media management.
Experience in an SME/trading company is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Good working knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping.
Comfortable using MS Excel, MS Word and basic accounting software (or willing to learn).
Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), and basic content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop basic).
Good communication skills in English and Nepali.
Ability to write social-media posts in Nepali (and English) and engage online audience.
Organised, detail-oriented with ability to multitask between finance and social media roles.
Team-player, proactive, with willingness to learn and take initiative.
Basic graphic or visual sense for social media content is an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
Located in Kathmandu or able to commute to company office.
Good time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines for both accounting tasks and content scheduling.
Integrity and discretion in handling financial information.
Willingness to adapt to dual role (finance + social media) and grow with the company.
