Job Description

Role Summary:
To support the finance/accounting function of the company and also manage the company’s social media presence. The role involves assisting in day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing basic financial reports, along with developing, publishing and monitoring social media content to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recording day to day financial transactions (journal entries, petty cash, receipts, payments).

  • Support in invoicing, reconciliation of accounts, supplier and customer ledger maintenance.

  • Help in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial summaries and reports for management review.

  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents (physical and digital) and assist during audits.

  • Manage the company’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) including content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments/messages.

  • Create basic social media graphics/posts, and help to track campaign / post performance metrics.

  • Coordinate with sales/marketing team for promotional campaigns on social media and gather analytics.

  • Ensure brand consistency in all social media content and maintain regular update schedule.

  • Any other tasks relating to accounting support or social media management as assigned by the manager.

Job Specification

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar field.

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance support and/or social media management.

  • Experience in an SME/trading company is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good working knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping.

  • Comfortable using MS Excel, MS Word and basic accounting software (or willing to learn).

  • Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), and basic content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop basic).

  • Good communication skills in English and Nepali.

  • Ability to write social-media posts in Nepali (and English) and engage online audience.

  • Organised, detail-oriented with ability to multitask between finance and social media roles.

  • Team-player, proactive, with willingness to learn and take initiative.

  • Basic graphic or visual sense for social media content is an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • Located in Kathmandu or able to commute to company office.

  • Good time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines for both accounting tasks and content scheduling.

  • Integrity and discretion in handling financial information.

  • Willingness to adapt to dual role (finance + social media) and grow with the company.
