Position: IT Officer
Location: Corporate Office, Gairidhara, Kathmandu
Position Summary:
Shanker Group is looking for a dedicated and technically skilled IT Officer to join our Corporate Office team. The role is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, reliability, and smooth operation of all IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support head office services including HRMS, Tally, and other hosted applications, ensuring proper backup and disaster recovery.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Active Directory and mail servers (Zimbra / O365).
Manage VMware ESXi environments, domains, and cPanel administration.
Monitor and maintain Windows/Linux servers, including hardware and OS configuration and upgrades.
Manage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and endpoint security systems across corporate office and factories.
Ensure smooth operation of third-party applications such as App Anywhere and SMS systems.
Assist the line manager and network engineer in IT project implementation and system improvements.
Maintain vendor contracts, documentation, and provide guidance to junior IT staff.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure or system administration
Strong knowledge of server management, networking, virtualization, and security systems.
