Job Summary:
The Gold Tester will be responsible for assessing the quality and authenticity of gold items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Bank’s or organization’s standards and procedures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and expertise in testing techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct tests to determine the purity, weight, and authenticity of gold and other precious metals.
Use appropriate testing equipment such as acid tests, electronic gold testers, and XRF machines.
Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare required reports.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory guidelines during all testing procedures.
Safeguard and maintain the integrity of gold items during testing.
Provide expert advice on gold quality and valuations to stakeholders.
Identify and report counterfeit or substandard gold items.
Required Job Knowledge Competencies
Conduct tests to determine the purity, weight, and authenticity of gold and other precious metals.

Strong ethical standards and trustworthiness.
Prerequisites for applying:
Minimum Education Qualification – SEE/SLC.
Age exceeding 30 years as of 26th March 2026.
Candidate must possess working experience as a Gold tester in A, B or C class Bank and Financial Institutions licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank for Minimum 5 years.
Candidates must be proficient in handling PC.
