Job Description
The Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling electronic home appliances to retailers, dealers, and end customers. This role involves achieving sales targets, managing client relationships, and contributing to overall market expansion. The ideal candidate should be dynamic, result-oriented, and have a solid understanding of the electronics and consumer appliances industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the designated territory.
- Visit dealers, retailers, and potential clients to promote company products.
- Demonstrate and explain product features to clients and customers.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as set by the company.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and dealers.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market feedback to the management.
- Ensure proper merchandising and display of products at dealer outlets.
- Handle after-sales service coordination and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and reports.
Job Specification
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Diploma in Sales or Consumer Electronics.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in electronic appliances, FMCG, or consumer durable goods.
- Experience in field sales, dealer handling, and retail promotions is an added advantage.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of consumer electronics products (e.g., TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, etc.).
- Understanding of sales channels (retail, wholesale, modern trade).
- Familiarity with basic sales principles, negotiation tactics, and customer relationship management.
- Awareness of market trends, competitor analysis, and territory planning.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and convincing ability.
- Good presentation and demonstration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic computer literacy – MS Office, CRM software, reporting tools.
