Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This includes financial reporting, maintaining general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
  • Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with tax filings and liaise with external auditors and consultants.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Perform variance analysis and assist in strategic planning.
