Job Description
UHS Holdings is seeking a highly skilled and creative Interior Designer to join our team in Butwal and Narayanghat.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial interior design, with expertise in AutoCAD, 3D modeling, space planning, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation.
The candidate must possess a valid interior design license, own a two-wheeler, and have a laptop with required specifications for design software. The role involves managing design projects, client consultations, coordinating with the Design and Build team in Kathmandu, and ensuring seamless execution in the assigned regions.
Design & Planning:
- Develop innovative interior design concepts for residential and commercial spaces.
- Create detailed AutoCAD drawings, 3D renderings, material specifications, and BOQ documentation.
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, cost estimates, and project timelines for clients.
- Ensure designs comply with safety standards, building codes, and client requirements.
- Documentation & BOQ Management:
- Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for projects.
- Ensure all design documentation is well-organized and updated for procurement and execution.
- Collaborate with the procurement and construction teams to align BOQ with project budgets.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations to understand project needs.
- Work closely with the Design and Build team (headed in Kathmandu) for approvals and design alignment.
- Liaise with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
Project Execution & Site Supervision:
- Monitor on-site progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Resolve any design or execution challenges in coordination with the Kathmandu team.
- Ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Business Development & Reporting:
- Identify new business opportunities and assist in project proposals.
- Maintain a portfolio of work to showcase expertise to potential clients.
- Provide regular project updates to the Kathmandu team head.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Valid interior design license/certification (mandatory).
- 3-4 years of professional interior design experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing residential/commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Revit, or similar software.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with V-Ray, Lumion, or other rendering tools (preferred).
- Must own a high-performance laptop (minimum specs: i5/i7 processor, 6GB+ RAM, dedicated GPU).
- Strong knowledge of material selection, lighting, and furniture design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Business-oriented mindset with negotiation abilities.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Must have a valid two-wheeler license and own a vehicle for site visits.
- Willingness to travel to nearby project locations as needed.
- Ability to coordinate remotely with the Kathmandu-based team head.
