Job Description
UHS Holdings is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and forward-thinking Senior Finance Manager to lead and manage the entire finance and account’s function. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the company and its group of businesses, enforcing sound financial practices, ensuring legal compliance, and aligning financial goals with organizational objectives
- Lead and oversee the entire finance and accounts department across all UHS group companies.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and audits.
- Supervise all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliance with Nepal's VAT, Tax laws, TDS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Implement, monitor, and update internal financial controls, standard operating procedures, and budgeting mechanisms.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as needed.
- Design and execute financial policies that support sustainable growth and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Plan and manage cash flow, fund utilization, and ensure timely payments for statutory obligations.
- Provide financial insight and projections to support decision-making at the executive level.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in coordination with departments.
- Ensure all financial systems and processes are aligned and integrated for efficient workflow.
- Manage team members across accounting, audit, billing, and budgeting functions.
- Handle multi-company transactions within the group and ensure legal and financial separation and transparency where required.
- Implement cost control strategies, expense tracking, and suggest savings or improvements.
- Coordinate with HR, Admin, and Procurement on financial controls and expense monitoring.
- Train and upskill finance staff and encourage a disciplined, ethical, and future-focused working culture
Reporting To: Chairman / Executive Management
Job Specification
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles, preferably in trading, manufacturing, or multi-company settings.
- Proven experience managing a team and streamlining financial processes at a senior level.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- In-depth knowledge of Nepali financial laws, VAT, TAX, SSF, TDS, and company compliance
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting standards and auditing processes
- Strong command of accounting software (such as Tally, Swastik, FAMAS, MES, ERP, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Nepali
- Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast and plan budgets
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
- Ability to handle multiple entities, complex transactions, and inter-company transfers
- Adaptability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strategic thinker with a clear vision of finance-led business growth
- Strong documentation and process-building abilities
