Job Description
The accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with Nepalese accounting standards and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will be analytical, organised, and capable of handling multiple accounting functions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day financial and accounting operations.
- Record journal entries, maintain ledgers, and reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and petty cash.
- Handle monthly and yearly tax filings (TDS, VAT, income tax, etc.) in compliance with IRD requirements.
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Tally, Swastik, or other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Nepal Accounting Standards (NAS) and Nepal tax laws.
- Excellent MS Excel and data management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
