Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ticketing Officer with at least 2 years of professional experience in the travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing ticketing operations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle domestic and international flight reservations, ticket issuance, reissuance, and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to bookings, schedule changes, and fare differences via phone, email, or in person.
- Update and maintain accurate customer and ticketing data within the reservation system (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre).
- Monitor flight schedules, fare changes, and promotional offers to provide customers with the best options.
- Coordinate with airlines, travel partners, and internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Process refunds, exchanges, and other post-ticketing activities in compliance with company and airline policies.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a customer-first approach at all times.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in airline or travel agency ticketing.
- Proficiency in at least one Global Distribution System (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
- Solid knowledge of airline fare rules, refund procedures, and exchange policies.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on quality service.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
