Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- The key functions (KF) of the project field coordinator will include the following:
- Monitoring of project activities and expected results: Coordinating and monitoring data quality of field interviews; Data saving and uploading to server
- Recruitment of interviewer for the fieldwork and supervision, training and developing the field team
- Communication with project partners in Switzerland and relevant stakeholders in the field
- Logistical planning of translations, interviewer training, field accomodation, transport, material needed for the fieldwork
- Ensuring that COVID-19 hygiene recommendations are followed in the field
Qualifications
The position requires a Bachelor degree, preferable in Social Sciences, Public Health, Humanities or Psychology with 1-2 years related experience.
Required experience, skills and abilities
- Experience with field data collection
- Proficiency in Nepali and English
- Interested in women’s health
- Ability to travel to the field sites and stay overnight (by arrangement there will be a possibility to bring own children to the field)
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
Desired experience, skills and abilities (not mandatory)
- Experience in implementation, monitoring and/or evaluation of research projects
- Experience managing teams and working in team settings
- Previously worked with Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and ODK
