Job Description
Debtors & Receivables Management
- Maintain client-wise debtor ledger for corporate and walk-in clients.
- Track outstanding payments, due dates, and credit periods.
- Follow up with clients and internal marketing/ticketing teams for timely collections.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly debtor aging reports.
- Coordinate with the collection/marketing team for payment status updates.
- Escalate overdue accounts to management as per internal policy.
Sales & Ticketing Entries
- Record daily ticket sales and purchases in accounting software/Excel.
- Verify sales entries against:
- Issued tickets
- Invoices
- Payment receipts
- Ensure accurate entry of:
- Purchase price
- Selling price
- Margin
- Sector and travel date
- Reconcile sales records with the Reservation & Ticketing Department.
Bank, Cash & Payment Coordination
- Record client payments received via cash, bank transfer, cheque, or online platforms.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for bank deposits and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper documentation for every transaction.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily sales summaries and debtor reports for management.
- Maintain proper filing of:
- Invoices
- Vouchers
- Payment proofs
- Support monthly closing and internal audits.
Internal Coordination & Compliance
- Work closely with reservation, marketing, and collection teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in travel, ticketing, trading, or service-based companies preferred
- Strong exposure to debtors management and sales accounting is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of:
- Debtors & receivables accounting
- Sales and revenue recording
- Proficiency in:
- Excel / Google Sheets
- Accounting software (Tally / Bon Fire / similar)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow up firmly but professionally with clients and internal teams
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to handle high-volume daily transactions
