Summary of Job Purpose:  

This position will be responsible to support the NHEICC and Suaahara II in implementing Risk Communication and Community Engagement Activities to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 in the community; liaise between the Suaahara II Program and the NHEICC for bringing synergy in their RCCE activities; review the evolving scenario and proactively recommend the appropriate RCCE activities to be designed and implemented by the NHEICC and the Suaahara II Program; support Suaahara II Risk Communication team in designing appropriate messages, tools and platforms to disseminate the key messages; when required, triangulating the messages from multiple sources and stakeholders; and develop the compelling content to generate desired responses and behavior change from the audiences.

Educational qualifications and experiences: 

  • Master’s degree in development communication, mass communication, journalism, media studies, development studies or a related field; a degree in public health will be an advantage;
  • Experience of working in the field of social and behavior change communication in the development sector; prior experience in the areas of public health and emergency communication will be an advantage.
