Job Description


 Job Tasks:

  • Present menu to guests, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage service.
  • Take order and to serve guests, presenting dishes prepared in the kitchen. Ensure that they are according to standards implemented by the management.
  • To take orders correctly and advise on cooking time.
  • Ensure the bar & restaurant areas maintain a comfortable atmosphere and ambiance including sound, lighting level and temperature.
  • Ensure full knowledge of bar equipment including how to use, clean and maintain it.
  • Check the preparation of bar for service. 
  • Advise guests on the choice of beverages.
  • Check proper par stock, maintain par stock and make store requisition for drinks/snacks.
  • Check and supervise the waiter / waitress does proper job on the station.
  • Supervise whether all the tables are laid properly including the service table with all the usual accessories.
  • Keep list of beverages and snacks menu up to date and be aware of items that are not available.
  • Observe the necessary standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety in his/her work, glassware and cutlery, etc are absolutely clean when placed on the side station.
  • Note orders which are passed to the kitchen or bar for preparation.
  • Check the restaurant, terrace and bar are running smoothly and efficiently as per the standard set forth by the management.
  • Oversee beverage consumption to ensure guests do not become too intoxicated.
  • Check staff duty rosters and supervise the discipline, conduct and appearance is maintained. Put staff on overtime and control unwanted overtime.
  • Ensure that food and beverage personnel documents, corrective action forms, attendance forms etc are up to date and forwarded to the HR department.
  • Report to the F&B Manager any complaints, disputes, queries, comments from guests.
  • As instructed by management, ensure the observance of Hygiene, Safety precautions and high standard of service is practiced and followed or not.
  • Responsible for organizing, conducting and supervising on the job training.
  • Do all the necessary official correspondence in the absence of Manager.
  • Perform any other related ad hoc duties assigned by the Management.

  • Contribute new ideas and offer feedback to Reporting Manager.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
