Position: Online News Editor (Premium Job)

Job Description

• Report, edit and assign stories for the online media active and up to date
• Develop headlines, subheadings and other display types
• Manages and delegates the coverage of news items for broadcasting or online news media
• Responsible for assigning coverage to reporters, writers, photographers and other news team members
• News content generation (research, approach, and interviews)
• Relationship management (key contributors, news sources, government and local bodies, and more)
• Be up-to-date with the national and international hard news
• Maintain legal and ethical responsibility
• Deliver news content on schedule and meet deadlines
• Fact-check sources and information

Job Specification

Education Level : Minimum BA Journalism passed

Experience Required : More than or equals to 2 years 

Professional Skill Required : Interpersonal, Communication, Teamwork, Content Writing, Reporting

Job Specification

• Must have completed at least Bachelor Degree in Journalism
• Strong editing, proofreading translating skills of Nepali and English language
• General understanding of current events, socio-politics of Nepal and around the world
• Should be creative and have an ability to conceptualize ideas
• Ability to develop deeper into any subject
• Should be able to create magic with innovative use of words into lines
• Should have ability to translate English and Hindi to Nepali
• Attention to detail and accuracy; alertness
• Passionate, creative, and determined
• Effective skills in social media
