Job Summary

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and sales strategies that drive business growth. This role leads the marketing function end-to-end—planning and forecasting, team leadership, performance management, market analysis, and collaboration with sales operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in both marketing execution and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop and implement annual marketing and sales plans, incorporating rolling 3‑month forecasts to adjust tactics and budgets dynamically.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, train, and motivate the marketing team, setting clear performance targets and fostering a high‑performance culture.

  • Conduct regular one‑on‑one and team reviews; drive corrective actions and recognize achievements.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track and report on team and individual metrics (leads generated, conversion rates, ROI, etc.) to ensure goals are met.

Market Expansion

  • Identify and evaluate new market segments, channels, and product/service opportunities to fuel growth.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with advertisers, media agencies, and key industry stakeholders.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Analyze competitor campaigns, pricing, and market trends; recommend strategic pivots to maintain competitive advantage.

Sales Operations Support

  • Partner with the sales team on client meetings, proposal development, promotional events, and daily performance tracking.

Budget Management

  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources against strategic priorities.

Job Specification

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in sales and marketing

  • At least 3 years in a leadership or management role

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is an advantage

Strategic & Analytical Skills:

  • Strong in planning, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Capable of conducting competitor analysis and market research

  • Data-driven decision maker

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong team-building, coaching, and performance management abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Able to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders
