Job Description

The Business Development Officer responsibilities include identifying company products and services that are underperforming, developing an in-depth knowledge of company offerings, pricing, and policies, and improving existing sales proposals. You should also ensure that the company is able to achieve revenue targets.

Reporting

  • Currently to Deputy General Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying business opportunities and working with private and public sector Companies
  • Create leads and follow the sales cycle
  • Manage at least 10 account relationships
  • Account mapping and maintaining a pipeline of at least 2X (2 times the set target)
  • Review quarterly targets and achievement
  • To undergo requisite training and certification
  • To liaise with clients for requirements
  • Proposal development in coordination with Frost
  • Meet & exceed targets that are set- measurement based on target achievement
  • Organize client visits and establish new business
  • Support business development and networking at all events
  • Liaise with Government agencies/ Industry Bodies/ Non Profit Organizations/ External
  • Events Organizers and technical specialists with guidance from the senior management for business development, and for knowledge partnership opportunities.
  • Network and liaise with clients and potential clients for value added activities like interviews and briefings.
  • Delivery of weekly status report (WSR) and weekly achievement analysis
  • Complete any additional activities necessary to fulfill the objectives of the position efficiently
  • Able to train and orient new hires to the team
  • Ability to work independently while meeting individual and team targets and deadlines
  • 50% of time to be spent on sales
  • 25% of time to be spent on business development
  • 15% of time to be spent on delivery/execution
  • 10% of time to be spent on admin (Filling of WSR/ERP, Weekly staff meetings, trainings  and supervision)

Job Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, or similar field.
  • 5 Years’ experience in similar field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality work and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must be very comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, and to meet deadlines.
