Job Description
The Application Officer is responsible for managing application-related documentation, installations, maintenance records, warranty and AMC tracking for laboratory analyzers and equipment. The role supports service, marketing, and tender teams through technical coordination, training management, product comparison, and compliance with tender specifications. The position involves close coordination with manufacturers, engineers, and customers to ensure efficient installation, service support, and overall customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Update OM Surgical “Equipment installation file” monthly manufacturer-wise for all the analyzers including lab instruments installed.
- Update Erba Installation file (accessible via Google Sheet) monthly and report to Erba Engineer.
- Prepare list of analyzers province/area-wise for input to Marketing team and Customer Relation when required.
- Prepare “Periodic Maintenance” plan schedule and update the “Periodic Maintenance” log file for analyzers.
- Raise warranty claim and report issues in Medica online portal. Update and maintain warranty claims received or yet to be received in coordination with logistics and store
- department. Maintain complete data with all the details containing photo, video, and serial number of machines for warranty claim. Coordinate directly with company for any issue.
- Update and maintain list of Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) done and issue AMC contract to customers.
- Update and maintain pre-installation requirement document for all the analyzers.
- Maintain database of training manuals, user manuals, service manuals, troubleshooting manuals, and important communication from company related to service and application.
Coordinate for online/offline training for Service Engineers and maintain database of trainings obtained. - Prepare and issue Installation Qualification (IQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Warranty Letter, Calibration Certificate, and Training Certificate of analyzers to customers whenever requested.
- Prepare experience certificate from users/customers for installed instruments.
- Update and maintain close specification for all the semi-automated analyzers, fully automated analyzers, and lab equipment including analyzer/instrument brochures.
- Support on analyzer and lab equipment assessment, technical comparison, advantages, and disadvantages.
- Support Tender team for compliance of tender specification of analyzers and lab instruments.
- Coordinate with company for new product or parameter-related queries, brochures, and update the marketing team accordingly. In addition, compare different similar products and evaluate them as per the requirement.
- Prepare amendment and attend pre-bid meetings as per requirement.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology (MLT), Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in an application role.
- Experience in the in-vitro diagnostics sector is an advantage.
