Job Description
A Diploma in Biomedical equipment engineering prepare graduate for various roles on the maintenance, repair and management of medical equipment and supporting various departments like surgery, radiology,and intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and test biomedical equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and repairs of medical devices across departments like surgery, radiology, ICU, and diagnostics.
- Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide technical support and ensure effective equipment integration.
- Maintain service logs and documentation of all maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to reduce downtime and support uninterrupted patient care.
Job Specification
Education: Diploma in Biomedical Equipment Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 1–2 years in hospital or medical equipment service preferred (freshers with strong technical skills may apply).
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support medical equipment.
- Proficient in installation, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordination with healthcare staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Other: Willingness to travel or support multiple departments as needed.
