Role Overview:
As the Head of People & Culture, you will work closely with senior leadership to attract, retain, and develop top talent while creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Your goal will be to enhance our company culture to support our continued growth and innovation in the wellness industry.
This is a full-time leadership position located in our office in Kathmandu.
Responsibilities
People Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall People & Culture strategy aligned with Blys' business goals and growth plans
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and scaling teams
- Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring high performance and continuous development
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment strategy to attract and retain top talent across all functions
- Partner with hiring managers to improve hiring quality, speed, and candidate experience
- Implement workforce planning strategies to support business expansion across regions
- Drive initiatives that strengthen company culture, engagement, and employee satisfaction
- Design and implement programs that enhance employee experience across the full lifecycle
- Act as a culture champion, ensuring alignment with Blys' values in all people practices
- Build and refine performance management frameworks, including goal setting, reviews, and feedback processes
- Identify skill gaps and implement learning & development programs
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
- Oversee core HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, and HR systems
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across all operating regions
- Establish and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and documentation
- Manage complex employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns
- Mitigate people-related risks and ensure fair and consistent HR practices
- Use HR data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve people outcomes
- Track key metrics such as retention, engagement, and hiring effectiveness
- Provide regular insights and reports to leadership
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on talent management, culture, and employee engagement
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HR strategies and programs
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
- Experience in organizational development and change management
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Passion for building high-performing teams and a positive workplace culture
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or tech environment is highly preferred
- Proven experience working in an IT or technology company
- Experience supporting or managing a team of 50+ employees
