2. RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS PROCEDURE

Output/Responsibilities: Responsible for a Public Relations Officer (PRO), including managing relations with blood transfusion-based multiple stakeholders, coordinating public awareness campaigns, and engaging with the community to promote a positive public image for the blood transfusion program. The tasks involve inquiries, planning, and executing PR events, and developing effective communication strategies to develop blood donation activity and increase the number of blood donors, and enhance public engagement with the blood transfusion program. The procedure includes building relationships with media outlets, crafting compelling messages, and monitoring public perception to achieve the desired PR outcomes through social media and similar related all the wings.

 

3.    OTHER CONDITION

a.     No portion of this contract is assignable to a third person.

b.     Any changes in the clauses of this contract must be made in writing and agreed to by both parties’ staff and TULBTRC.

c.     The staff will not communicate any confidential issue with any person or institution about the project and its matters without the prior approval of the TULBTRC.

d.     The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will not engage in activities or have relationships with individuals or organizations which would cause the PRO to be unable to render impartial assistance or advice on the project, or which would cause the PRO’s objectivity in performing the work to be impaired, or which would cause the PRO to provide an unfair advantage to any individual or organization relating to the project.

e.     Both the organization TULBTRC and the employee must provide one month's notice before terminating employment or resigning from the job.

 

4. JOB DESCRIPTION PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER: 

  • Communicates project plans, project objectives and milestones, implementation plans to all stakeholders and other relevant parties.
  • Collaborates closely with Blood Bank laboratory, support on blood product inventory needs/appeals.
  • Establish working framework with Clubs and communities institutions including perspective, pipelines, on action plus details. 
  • Coordinate with other Blood Bank and Donor Center informatics teams any changes to the Blood Transfusion workflow. Includes design, testing, implementation and training as necessary.
  • Ensure appropriate reimbursement for research studies based on accurate costing for services performed.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets to effectively manage the center's public image and handle media inquiries.
  • Developing strategies to engage with blood donors and the community to promote blood donation campaigns and raise awareness about the importance of regular donations.
  • Discuss with board member and technical team and Prepare crisis communication plans to address potential issues or emergencies related to blood supply or safety.
  • Creating and executing impactful public awareness campaigns to educate the public about blood donation, its impact on saving lives, and the ongoing need for blood donors.
  • Attending various events, seminars, and workshops related to blood donation and transfusion to reach out to potential donors and stakeholders in the community.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with relevant organizations, government bodies, and NGOs to enhance the blood center's outreach and donor base.
  • Managing the blood center's social media accounts and online presence to engage with the public, share important updates, and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Implementing initiatives to recognize and appreciate blood donors for their contributions, encouraging repeat donations and fostering a sense of community involvement.
