Location: Sanepa, Lalitpur

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant IT System Administrator to join our team at K&A Engineering in Sanepa, Lalitpur. Role Expectations

  • Responsible for Level 1 Support by setting up configuring & maintaining all desktop & laptop computers in the organization.
  • Support user onboarding, offboarding, access changes & document Change Control.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor servers, operating systems, and core IT systems.
  • Manage on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, etc.).
  • Ensure system uptime, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies.
  • Administer & Monitor Active Directory / Entra ID, group policies, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot local hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, procedures, and asset inventories and follow appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Assist senior team during IT Audit, SoC Audit, Cybersecurity efforts and compliance related work.
  • Implement and maintain IT security controls to safeguard company data.
  • Monitor systems for security threats and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Perform regular system updates, patch management, and upgrades.
  • Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Manage antivirus, endpoint protection, disk encryption, and backup solutions.
  • Weekly hours will vary depending on business needs. Provide after hours on-call support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • BSc/bachelor's in computer science, Computer Application, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Freshers with a strong willingness to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.
  • 1 year of experience working in the information technology field with hands-on experience in installing & Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of OS, Active Directory, Endpoint, Networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Right attitude to get the experience or experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and administer user accounts, permissions, and roles via AD, Win10, SharePoint, MS Azure and intel-based hardware.
  • CompTIA Network+, Security + or equivalent certification preferred not mandatory.
  • A strong grasp of office network environment including industry standard firewall appliances, cisco network switches and wireless access point management and configuration preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently, within a team or with a vendor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently in a deadline-driven environment to achieve results
  • Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to outsourcing professionals as needed.
