We are seeking a Senior Counselor - New Zealand for a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The role involves providing professional guidance to students regarding study opportunities in New Zealand. Responsibilities include assessing student profiles, assisting in course and university selection, preparing and reviewing applications, guiding visa processes, and maintaining strong relationships with both students and educational institutions. The candidate will also stay updated on New Zealand’s educational policies to ensure accurate and effective counseling.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand’s education system, courses, universities, and visa requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills
- Experience in handling student applications and ensuring compliance with admission requirements
- Administrative skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage documentation
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools for managing student cases
- Ability to stay current with changes in educational regulations and opportunities in New Zealand
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Previous experience in education consultancy or a similar role is preferred
- Commitment to providing ethical and student-focused guidance
