This is a full-time on-site Counselor position located in Pokhara. The Counselor will engage with students to guide them through the process of choosing and applying to academic programs abroad, provide personalized educational counseling, and assist with applications for English proficiency tests and overseas universities. Responsibilities will include evaluating students' strengths and interests, offering advice on study plans, managing documentation, and ensuring the counseling process is smooth and efficient for each student.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and parents
- Knowledge of international education systems, visa procedures, and academic programs in destinations like the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple students' applications and timelines
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, and familiarity with proficiency exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to motivate and mentor students towards their academic goals
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience in similar counseling roles or in the education/consulting industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with educational software is an advantage
