Job Description
Role Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Account Manager to support branch-level accounting operations, ensure expense control, cash & bank management, budgetary compliance, timely MIS reporting, fixed asset monitoring, insurance coverage, and audit support across multiple branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Review admin, direct & indirect expenses within approved limits and report deviations with corrective actions to HOD.
- Verify receipts, payments, journal vouchers, and purchase invoices with proper supporting documents.
- Ensure daily closure of pending postings and timely monthly closing of BRJ/BRT/BTL branch books.
- Control cash & bank operations, including periodic cash verification and day report reconciliation.
- Prepare and submit monthly MIS and staff advance deduction reports; coordinate with HR for issue resolution.
- Monitor movement of fixed assets, maintain FAR, and ensure insurance coverage of fixed/current assets; process claims.
- Obtain yearly bank balance confirmations (loans, interest & closing balances).
- Support internal and statutory audits.
- Supervise team members and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance
- Experience in multi-branch operations and MIS reporting preferred
- Advance Excel knowledge
- Strong knowledge of accounting controls, compliance & reporting
