Sattya Media Arts Collective, Jawalakhel

Time Commitment: Full-time, Wednesday–Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: In-person, Kathmandu

Commitment: Minimum 1 year preferred


About Sattya

Sattya Media Arts Collective is a community arts space in Kathmandu with an Art Cafe, Coworking space, Makerspace, workshops, events, screenings, residencies, and room rentals.

Sattya is currently in a rebuild phase. We are strengthening systems, clarifying roles, and working toward steady earned income while protecting our values and community culture.


The Role

The Business & Operations Coordinator works directly under the Business & Operations Lead.

This is an execution role. The Coordinator manages the daily operational details that keep Sattya financially steady and administratively clean.


If the Lead designs the system, the Coordinator runs it.This role requires someone highly organized, proactive, disciplined with money, and comfortable working with tracking tools and spreadsheets. It is not a creative strategy role. It is operational precision.


Core Focus

The Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Daily financial tracking
  • Purchasing and supply management
  • Payment follow-ups
  • Clean record keeping
  • Supporting booking systems
  • Preventing operational gaps


This role protects stability through attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Tracking & Money Handling

  • Record daily income from Cafe, Coworking, rentals, and programs
  • Track petty cash and reconcile regularly
  • Ensure payments are collected before bookings are confirmed
  • Follow up on overdue payments professionally and consistently
  • Maintain clear internal tracking sheets
  • Prepare simple weekly financial summaries for the Lead


Accuracy is essential. 


Purchasing & Supplies

  • Monitor stock levels for Cafe, cleaning supplies, office materials, and operational needs
  • Source and compare quotes before purchasing
  • Make cost-conscious decisions within approved budgets
  • Keep receipts organized and submitted properly
  • Flag unusual or rising expenses early


Spend carefully and document everything.


Bookings & Administrative Support

  • Support room and space rental confirmations
  • Ensure contracts are signed before events
  • Confirm deposits are received before blocking dates
  • Maintain organized booking records
  • Update Notion and Shared Drives consistently
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accessible


If it is not documented, it is not confirmed.


Systems & Compliance Support


  • Help maintain Jibble time tracking compliance
  • Support payroll coordination with the Lead
  • Ensure documents are properly filed in Shared Drives
  • Keep task lists updated and current
  • Maintain operational checklists for spaces


You are responsible for noticing what is missing.


Communication & Accountability

  • Communicate clearly and directly
  • Follow up confidently on payments and pending tasks
  • Escalate issues early to the Business & Operations Lead
  • Coordinate respectfully with Programs and Community Leads


This role requires steady follow-through, not passive observation.


Sattya Apartment Operations


  • Managing all booking platforms and internal calendars
  • Coordinating check-ins and check-outs clearly and on time
  • Maintaining professional, responsive communication with guests
  • Ensuring rooms are fully prepared before every arrival
  • Overseeing cleaning quality and enforcing standards
  • Monitoring inventory and restocking supplies proactively
  • Handling maintenance issues immediately
  • Resolving minor guest concerns directly and escalating larger issues to the Lead


Accommodation income must be organized and professionally managed at all times.


Working Rhythm


This is an in-person, hands-on role. You will be present in the building during working hours and actively engaged in operational flow. You report directly to the Business & Operations Lead and work in coordination with the Programs Lead, Community & Communications Lead, and broader team.
