Financial Expert (Strategic Finance & Banking Lead)

As the organization expands its operational and financial footprint, HSV is seeking a senior-level Financial Expert to lead financial structuring, banking coordination, and cross-border financial planning activities.

Position Overview

The Financial Expert will be responsible for overseeing financial structuring, institutional financing engagements, banking coordination, and strategic financial planning across multiple sectors. The role requires strong expertise in structured finance, trade finance instruments, project financing, and regulatory compliance.

This position will work closely with executive leadership, financial institutions, development partners, and international stakeholders to support capital formation, transaction structuring, and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Structuring & Project Finance

• Prepare detailed loan proposals for infrastructure, renewable energy, and technology projects
• Develop financial models, feasibility studies, and capital planning frameworks
• Structure project finance arrangements including debt and blended finance mechanisms
• Conduct risk assessment and financial viability analysis

2. Banking & Institutional Coordination

• Engage with commercial banks, development banks, and financial institutions
• Lead negotiations related to loan facilities and financial instruments
• Coordinate documentation and compliance processes for financing arrangements
• Maintain strong working relationships with domestic and international lenders

3. Trade Finance & Cross-Border Financial Planning

• Structure and manage trade finance instruments including LC, SBLC, and Bank Guarantees
• Oversee international settlement mechanisms and foreign exchange planning
• Support cross-border equipment procurement and commodity transactions
• Ensure risk mitigation and regulatory compliance in international financial operations

4. Financial Governance & Compliance

• Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and financial controls
• Ensure compliance with national financial regulations and tax frameworks
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies
• Strengthen internal financial control systems and reporting standards

5. Strategic Financial Advisory

• Provide financial insights to leadership for investment and partnership decisions
• Evaluate joint ventures, equity participation structures, and capital allocation models
• Support long-term financial sustainability and institutional stability

Required Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification (not mandatory)
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in financial management, project finance, or banking
• Demonstrated expertise in LC, SBLC, Bank Guarantees, and structured finance instruments
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Experience in preparing and managing large-scale loan proposals
• Familiarity with cross-border financial transactions and regulatory frameworks
• Strong negotiation and institutional communication skills
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professional accountability

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with infrastructure, renewable energy, or trade sectors
• Exposure to development finance institutions or international banking environments
• Understanding of carbon finance or energy finance structures
