Job Description
We are urgently seeking a motivated and experienced Educational Advisor / Senior Educational Advisor - Canada/ Australia / New Zealand to join our team at GECC , bagbazar - Kathmandu. The senior educational Advisor will be responsible for providing admissions counseling, shortlisting Universities and courses. Processing applications , offering schoolership guidenence, assisting with student visa , and organizing pre-departure orientations.
Key Responsibilities for Australia / New Zealand
* Conduct individual counseling sessions with students to assess their academic strengths, interest, and aspirations.
* Research and recommend Universities and programs that best suit each student's profile and goals.
* Guide students through the application process, including competing application forms, writing personal statements , and preparing for interviews.
* Assist students with schoolership and financial aid applications/ Assist with student visa documentation, SOPs, financial requirements, and medical formalities.
*Organize informations sessions and presentations to raise awareness about study abroad opportunities in Australia/ New Zealand and other destinations as required.
* Maintain strong relationships with universities and educational institutions in Australia/ New Zealand.
* Provide information on Immigration New Zealand (INZ) rules and visa regulations
* Track student progress and measure the success of the counseling program.
Qualifications:
Master degree or Bachelor Degree in Education, Counseling, or any related field.
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as an education counselor, with a proven track record of success
* In-depth knowledge of educational systems of Australia.
* Strong understanding of admission requirements, schoolership opportunities, and visa process for these countries .
Visa Help and Compliance:
*Visa Guidance: Explain the Australian student visa ( Subclass 500) requirements clearly and simply, including the "Genuine student" (GS) Criteria and financial proof.
Key Responsibilities for Canada Counselor : -
• Counsel students/clients on Canada study permits, work permits, PR pathways, and visas
• Assess client profiles for eligibility under Canadian immigration or education programs
• Provide detailed information on Canadian universities, colleges, courses, and intake timelines
• Guide clients through application procedures, documentation, SOPs, and visa filing
• Assist with IELTS/PTE requirements, financial documentation, and GIC processes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRCC rules, policies, and immigration updates
• Coordinate with institutions, embassies, and internal processing teams
• Track applications and follow up with clients until visa decision
• Maintain accurate records and CRM data
• Achieve assigned counseling and enrollment targets
• Provide post-visa guidance (pre-departure, accommodation, travel basics)
