Position: Business Development Officer
Department: B2B / Business Development
Salary : 40K or Negotiable
Location: Airport, Kathmandu
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Purpose
To support business growth by acquiring merchants, promoting @CellPay digital payment solutions, and achieving assigned sales and activation targets.
Key Responsibilities
A. Merchant Acquisition & Sales
- Identify and onboard new merchants (retailers, SMEs, service providers).
- Promote CellPay QR, wallet services, and digital payment solutions.
- Achieve monthly onboarding and activation targets.
- Conduct field visits and sales presentations.
B. Relationship Management
- Maintain regular follow-up with merchants to ensure active usage.
- Assist merchants in resolving operational issues.
- Coordinate with Customer Support and IT for smooth onboarding.
C. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain daily visit and sales reports.
- Ensure complete documentation during merchant onboarding.
- Follow NRB and company compliance guidelines.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales/business development.
- Experience in fintech, digital wallet, telecom, or banking preferred.
Required Competencies
Technical Competencies
- Basic understanding of digital payment ecosystem in Nepal.
- Knowledge of merchant onboarding processes.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
Behavioral Competencies
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Target-driven mindset.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently in field operations.
