Sr. Officer | Technical SME – Cloud

Job Description

Position Overview:  

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical SME – Cloud to support our cloud presales and delivery. This role will act as a technical authority for multi-cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Huawei, Tencent), working closely with sales, partners, and customers to design, present, and support scalable cloud architectures. The role also requires hands-on involvement in BOQ design, post-sales technical troubleshooting, and the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Presales & Solution Design

• Act as a technical presales lead for multi-cloud opportunities.
• Design end-to-end cloud architectures based on customer requirements, including compute, storage, networking, security, backup, and DR.
• Prepare solution documents, architecture diagrams, BOQs, and cost estimations.
• Support RFPs, RFQs, and technical proposals with accurate and competitive solution designs.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution walkthroughs to customers and internal stakeholders.

Post-Sales & Technical Support

• Provide post-sales technical support and guidance during solution implementation.
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and coordinate with OEMs or cloud providers when required.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with best practices, security standards, and customer expectations.
• Support handover to delivery or operations teams with clear documentation.

Cloud & Emerging Technologies

• Maintain strong hands-on knowledge of multi-cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• Leverage Gen AI tools and cloud-based AI/ML services where applicable to enhance solutions and productivity.
• Stay updated on new cloud services, pricing models, and industry trends.

Business & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and align solutions with business objectives.
• Provide technical inputs for pricing, margin analysis, and commercial structuring.
• Build credibility and trust with customers as a technical advisor.
• Collaborate with OEMs, cloud partners, and internal teams for solution validation and enablement.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, presales, or technical solution design.
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect) are preferred.
• Prior experience in a system integrator, cloud partner, or IT services organization.
• Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market customers.
• Hands-on exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and architectures across multiple cloud platforms.
• Experience with core cloud services that include compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, and backup/DR solutions.
• Ability to design BOQs and perform cloud cost estimations.
• Exposure to Gen AI tools and cloud-based AI services is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of security, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.

• Understanding of how cloud solutions drive business value.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with cost, scalability, and commercial viability.
• Awareness of margin, pricing, and presales decision-making

Soft Skills

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple business terms.
• Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
