Job Description
Job purpose:
Responsible for promoting and selling company products to doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals. The medical representative’s responsibilities include persuading potential customers to purchase company medications, identifying prospective business opportunities for the company, and providing the relevant departments with customer feedback.
Job Description (Medical Representative):
- Identifying and making a doctor list as per the assigned area by the company.
- Visiting a specified number of doctors according to a monthly pre-planned tour plan.
- Promoting the right product to the right doctor and giving planned input to the right customers.
- Generating new customers as well as developing long-term relationships with existing ones.
- Meeting retail, chemists to ensure that the products are easily available. Doing follow-up on the prescription and taking POBs.
- Meeting the company-appointed stockiest or wholesalers to ensure that sufficient stock is kept for distribution to retail, chemists.
- Timely submission of complete daily reports as per the instructions of the immediate supervisor.
- Achieving the assigned sales targets of the company.
- Implementation of marketing and sales strategies planned by the Chief Marketing Officer and Country Manager.
- Monitoring competitors’ activity and competitors’ products and giving feedback to the company.
- Attending weekly, monthly or quarterly Sales Review Meetings to discuss target versus achievement, product promotion strategies, new launches, and future sales planning.
- Attaining the target set by the company.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by the senior staff or management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in related field.
- Commercial awareness.
- Presentation skills.
- Research and organizational skills.
- The ability to negotiate and collaborate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills and basic computer skills.
