Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Sales officer plays a crucial role in driving sales and student enrollment for the Genesis Institute of Hospitality, which is affiliated with an Australian degree-diverse range of programs, including Barista, Bartending, and Certificate 4 in Kitchen Management courses. This dynamic role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with excellent communication, interpersonal, and marketing skills. The role includes event management responsibilities and building strategic relationships with hotels and other stakeholders to enhance the institute’s reputation and partnerships within the hospitality industry.  

Key Responsibilities:

Student Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies to attract prospective students.  
  • Conduct market research to identify potential student demographics and recruitment channels.  
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, and other relevant institutions.  
  • Organise and participate in educational fairs, career expos, and other promotional events.  
  • Conduct presentations and workshops to showcase the institute's programs and facilities.  
  • Provide personalised counselling and guidance to prospective students regarding program choices and career paths.  
  • Follow up with leads and convert inquiries into enrollments.  

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the institute.  
  • Create engaging and informative content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).  
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to inquiries and comments promptly.  
  • Run targeted social media campaigns to reach potential students.  
  • Analyse social media performance and adjust strategies accordingly.  

Event Management:

  • Plan, organise, and execute events.  
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution.  
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure successful outcomes.  
  • Evaluate event success through feedback and performance metrics.  

Stakeholder Relationship Building:  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality industry stakeholders to create partnership opportunities.  
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop internship and job placement opportunities for students.  
  • Represent the institute at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.  
  • Work with stakeholders to develop collaborative programs, workshops, or guest lectures that benefit students and the institute.  

Content Creation:

  • Create compelling content for marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, website content, and promotional videos.  
  • Assist in the development of marketing collaterals and promotional materials.  

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), such as leads generated, conversion rates, and social media engagement.  
  •  Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing activities and their effectiveness.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.  
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  •  Proficiency in social media marketing and content creation.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (if applicable).  
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.  
  •  Passion for education and a strong interest in the hospitality industry.
