Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accountant to handle end-to-end accounting and finance operations related to product sales, inventory, vendor management, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in accounting practices, especially within a product-based trading company, and a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, accounts receivable/payable, and bank entries
- Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts and track stock movements of medical and cosmetic products
- Monitor credit sales, outstanding payments, and collection follow-ups
- Prepare and file VAT, TDS, and other tax documents in compliance with local regulations
- Generate financial statements, monthly reports, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank accounts and vendor/supplier ledgers
- Assist in price calculation, profit margin analysis, and cost tracking, including landed costs
- Coordinate with internal departments for order processing and vendor payments
- Liaise with auditors and support documentation for financial audits
Job Specification
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading, distribution, or retail environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
- Experience with inventory and sales-based accounting
- Good understanding of Nepal tax regulations (VAT, TDS, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
